Well, it’s ‘that’ time of year once again… time to take a break (a short one) from promoting the film and start practicing some moves on the speed bag. With SPEEDB.A.G. V coming July 11th-13th at the NEW Real Gymm in Keyport. NJ, I like to be on my game (or as close as I can get at this age)! This gathering is something I look forward to each and every year. A time to get together with old and new friends who are (or soon will be) addicted to hitting the speed bag & punchdrumming. It gets bigger and better each year and it’s nice to see growth in the activity. Most all the cast from the film (who I am honored to call friends) will be there and they are sure to bring a bunch of new moves and intricate combination…along with a willingness to teach them to anyone interested. Even this old dog might have a little some-something to show. 😉

Donnie Blanks (and family) is/are the best hosts & supporters ever, not to mention he’s just an all-around great guy. He has expanded the Real Gymm ( http://www.realgymm.com )…and if I remember correctly, it’s now somewhere around 12,000 sq. feet! I can’t wait to see the new space and its view of Manhattan across the bay! No matter what level you’re at, if you are interested in the speed bag, this is where you want to be. You will not find a better goup of people and although some of the adults will enjoy an evening discussion over a beer (or two), it is a totally family friendly atmosphere…and Keyport is a charming town for the event.

So, time to put the headphones on and get my bag groove happening. I hope to see all my fellow bagger’s there!
